Life With Lorelai is one-month old today!

It’s been quite a month of trying to learn the ins-and-outs of blogging (and I am in no way an expert yet), but I am pleased with the progress my little blog has made. I am most happy with the people I have met through Life With Lorelai; it has been nice getting to know you all, and I look forward to an ongoing relationship.

I have learned how important social media is to a blog. I’ve become fairly adept with the WordPress editor, stuck my toes into the icy waters of HTML coding, conquered hyperlinks, and added media. There is still so much to learn, and so many ideas bursting to be tried.

I would like to just step back and take a look at how far Life With Lorelai has come this month. As of right now, we have had:

  • 767 Views with 250 Unique Visitors
  • Visitors from 12 different countries: United States, Canada, India, Australia, Thailand, South Africa, Germany, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Lithuania, Indonesia, and Norway
  • 25 Posts
  • The Top Post is: Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, A Treasure Find Fer Me
  • 3 Pages
  • The Top Page is: About Lorelai
  • 1 Recipe
  • Favorite Recipe is: No Pit’s Here… Peach Cobbler!
  • 59 Blog Shares
  • 93 Followers: 44-Blog, 6-Twitter, 23-Facebook, 13-Bloglovin’, 7-Pinterest
  • 228 Comments

Not too shabby! Hopefully, things around Life With Lorelai will continue to grow and bloom, and I look forward to meeting new people and making new friends. Thank you for following my journey.

Today will definitely be a note in our Happiness Jar!

    1. Social Media is key. I joined a couple of blogging groups on facebook, signed up for Twitter, PInterest, and Bloglovin’. I signed on to blogging challenges with NaBloPoMo, SITSgirls, and the Ultimate Blog Challenge (you can find their links in my sidebar).

All of these factors have brought in readers, which have led to followers! Thanks everyone. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Amanda and Madison! I thought the stats were pretty thrilling for one month, and I’m excited to see what will happen in six months. I think after the crazy, busy, stressful day I’ve had, celebrating my bloggy 1-mo. b-day with a Cadillac Margarita sounds GREAT! 😀

  1. Congratulations! I remember when I first started blogging and people were subscribing. It is a wonderful feeling and I hope you are soaking in every moment of it. Love the rose photo btw.

    1. Soak, soak, soak! You’re right it is an awesome feeling to actually see results from your blog. The rose is a Neptune rose bush that I bought for Luke for our first Christmas…it smells AMAZING!

  2. I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself, and I think I’ve learned a few things from you in comments. I’ll have to check out some of the sites you recommend. Thanks!

  3. Keep blogging Lorelai. You’re doing great. I’ve found that once you learn the tricks of blogging, it becomes addictive. I love the pix of the rose, you can almost smell the perfume.

  4. Congratulations on your 1-month blog anniversary!! My 3-month is on 7/15 and I feel like I’m still learning something new every single day. The blogger community is wonderful and so supportive. I wish you nothing but continued success!

Hey…that’s what I call progress indeed! High fives to all you’ve accomplished in a month!

    You go woman.

    1. Bring on the challenge! Well, actually I have an idea I am working on now that is proving to be a huge challenge, but I am determined to figure it out. Keep an eye on upcoming posts… I will be sure to mark the one I speak of as HARD!!!!! Have a nice day. 🙂

  8. I know what you mean. When I first began blogging, all I ever got was spam. Since I started putting my blog all over FB, LinkedIn, google+, and twitter, I’m getting lots of comments, and drawing in great clients!

  9. Lorelai, Awesome job! I started about 6 months and it is a commitment, but it is VERY rewarding to see things begin to move forward. Sounds like you are off to and incredible start. Good Luck! 🙂 and keep up the good work!

  10. Congrats! It’s a fun feeling to not only know you’ve got a blog going, but that you’ve got readers that come back and visit regularly! Keep up the great work!

    1. Absolutely true! The interaction with the readers of my blog is one of my favorite parts about blogging. I’m glad you are enjoying my little slice of the blogoshpere. 🙂
