And this was 12-year-old me ~ Aren’t passport photos lovely?!?
Can you believe that shirt??? Look, it’s puka shells… and that hair cut, holy cranoli! (Now, to be honest, it was supposed to be a Dorothy Hamill hair cut, but apparently the hair dresser in Mississippi didn’t have a clue what it was supposed to look like…barf… Why I decided to cut my below-the-waist long hair on vacation is beyond me.)
Well, there you have it. One of my most embarrassing photos! Live, Laugh, and Learn…

That is the most intense image I’ve seen on the internet in a LONG time!
Hahaha! I love it!
It’s a doozy, Kathryn! This is what I get for trying to go through all of the crud my house has collected over 42 years… LOL
Haha! WE all have them though I didn’t live through the 70’s, I think the 90’s had enough embarrassment for me! =) Thanks for being brave enough to share!
How strong is your brave? Well, I guess today, I’m Wonder Woman! 🙂
Wow the year I was born. A lot of things happened then. I love that medley and actually sat through it to the end. They need to do a little bit more of that when doing these award shows.
I agree, Amanda… Look how much fun Gladys and the Pips had doing the medley! It made it great to watch. 🙂
Wow! The memories you’ve brought back! Lord, I remember bell bottoms, and those leisure suits – ugh! I was just a little kid but I had a hand-me-down leisure suit from my BOY cousin that my mom would make me wear. I was never into fashion, but I had sense enough to know that that thing was NOT cute on me! LOL
Hahahaha!!!! Yes, I remember a few hand-me-downs that could shame the habit off a nun! 🙂
Oh the memories!! I remember lots of those things from back in the day!

Haha…it was a memorable time. Too bad we can’t forget some of it!!! 😀
Oh my goodness! I feel as if I should share an embarrassing photo of mine with you! But I’m not gonna LOL

Oh come on, Kristen! Life is too short not to enjoy a laugh once in a while at your own expense. 🙂
Oh, I laugh at myself in the present all the time! No need to bring up the past, right? 🙂
Hahahaha!!!!! 😀
That shirt is the best! I love flashbacks. It’s crazy to see pictures of ourselves and think, I walked around like that? ugh! There’s quite a hole in my growing up years from about 5th grade – 11th grade they are all just mega awkward and hideous! I thankfully have few pictures to document it. I’ll have to dig some up to share sometime.
Yes…those awkward years are sometimes best forgotten, but then again, they can provide a really great laugh! 🙂 thanks for stopping by, Rochelle.
Mother!!!! Why don’t I have any awkward preteen photos!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am missing out here!!!! I just look adorable in all of them!!!!!!
I’m sure I could find something…if you’re daring me…
embarrassing? Not at all It is a lovely picture. greetings
Hahaha! Thanks for stopping by and having some fun with my blog. 🙂
I have some pretty awful pics & clothes from back then myself, haha – I love it!! I was 5 in 1976 and I remember that year well. The Bicentennial was a big deal, and it was a good time to grow up I think 🙂
It really was a fun year with the Bicentennial. I agree…childhood seemed simpler and happier…
Thanks for stopping by, Renee 🙂
You are a brave woman to post a throwback photo! I’ve always wanted to burn mine, but I know they are nice to look back at with my kids. Kudos to you!
And thanks for the snippet of info. Now I know when the $2 bill was issued. The things you learn…. 🙂
You’ve gotta learn something new everyday. The laughter and support over the photo has been fun…at no one has sent the little men with the straight-jackets out to get me! LOL 🙂
