I love to take pictures, and once in a while I snag a few…

Snazzy Snapshots!

“In every out-thrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand there is the story of the earth.”
~ Rachel Carson

“… so that the monotonous fall of the waves on the beach, which for the most part beat a measured and soothing tattoo to her thoughts seemed consolingly to repeat over and over again…”
~ Virginia Woolf, To the Lighthouse

“Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature’s simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard.”
~ Psyche Roxas-Mendoza

Can you hear the rush of the waves; smell the salty air; feel the sand between your toes?

Do you have any grand beach memories?

  1. Love the photos. When I lived in the Caribbean I had lots of fun going to the beach. I miss those days. I haven’t been to a real beach in quite a long time. I still have some photos as well of my beach days.

    1. It really is great to live at the beach! The sounds, the views, everything is just so peaceful and relaxing. When Rory has been in the hospital for long periods of time, one of the first things we do (if we don’t do it on the way home) is go for a drive along the beach. Then we know we are home! 🙂

  2. I love these shots! They are like a vacation in a blog post. I do something similar on the third Wednesday of each month — it’s an amazing stress reliever.

Living in Vegas, I miss the beach and those amazing things you mentioned (sand between my toes, salted beachfront air, sound of the waves crashing nearby). It is one of the most grounding and spiritual places to be. Thanks so much for the quick stay-cay 🙂
