If I would sing Karoke, you would throw me off the stage… Lots of great songs there for the Bewitching Hour.
Feel free to sing away in your own home…lol 🙂
OOO – I’m signing to Thriller now, thanks for the reminder!
Woot! Don’t forget the dance moves!!! 🙂 Have a great time, Katherine.
The funny part of Thriller is, I had the single LP. On one side was the actual song and the other side was the music only. I was singing karoke in my own bedroom in 1984-ish before karoke was cool lol AND I could probably do most of the dance moves from the video (which my mom was so cool as to rent for me on Beta tape because we didn’t get cable).
Hahahaha!! That is AWESOME! I remember doing the dance moves too. AND watching it on MTV…what a Thrill. 😉 Glad this brought back some happy memories for you. 🙂
I am with Terry on this one, they would throw me off stage if I sang Karoke. lol I used to sing Thriller into a hair brush when I was younger.
Hahaha! I remember singing into a hairbrush, combs, whatever we could find to emulate a microphone. LOL 🙂
Well, I don’t sing karoake–but I loved how you did the post!
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed singing along at home. 🙂
I love the song from Hocus Pocus! This was fun! I love music 🙂
Hocus Pocus is one of Rory and my’s favorite Halloween movies. I’m so glad you had fun! 🙂
It definitely would not be pretty if I sang karaoke either, but hey – where’s the fun in not trying it, right?
I was terrified the first time I gave it a try, but then I was addicted! So much fun, and it’s even great in your own home. I just love to sing. 🙂
I sang along to Thriller and I put a spell on you. I remember those very well. Am I showing my age? Thanks for the throwback. 🙂
What? No Witch Doctor with Madison? Hahaha… I remember singing that one with my kids. Thriller was huge– everybody sang that song, and of course had to know all the dance moves. 🙂
Thanks for the 80s flashback with Thriller, Lorelai! I used to LOVE that song. Brady walked up and after he giggled at me singing Monster Mash (he stood there for the whole thing) I thought we’d Youtube the Thriller video, but dang it’s a lot scarier than I thought! So I had to skip way ahead to where the zombies were dancing and then I turned it off. And he though the Witch Doctor one was a hoot too. I can’t believe he let me sing all that. Thanks for the smile after a long day 🙂
I’m so glad you and Brady both had giggles and smiles! It’s fun to be goofy with your kids. I know there’s a cute Ghoulies do the Monster Mash video on you-tube. Brady would probably love that, and I’m sure it would bring back some memories for you too. 🙂
I don’t sing karaoke, but I know just some of your songs. Have a nice weekend Lorelai.
Knowing some of our songs is more than I know of your songs… You have a nice weekend too, Adelien. 🙂
Interesting, I didn’t know Amanda Seyfrdid sang. 🙂 I’ve learned something new this morning.
The girl can do anything! But, the first movie I ever saw her in was Mama Mia, which is a musical. She has a gorgeous voice. You can check that Learn-something-new-everyday off today’s to-do list! 🙂
Wonderful post thank you for sharing. I remember when Thriller debuted on MTV I was sick with the flu. Ahhh memories 🙂
Oh, the memories! LOL I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. 🙂
That was very fun and a really cute posting idea! It’s a good thing no one could hear me…
I’m glad you had some spooky fun! Go Ahead,,, Sing Karaoke is a recurring feature on Life With Lorelai. Be sure to check out past posts and come back for future ones to have more singing fun! 🙂
