Autumn Chalkboards

Spice-up your Fall decorating with Chalk!

I’m sure you’ve seen the creative chalkboards floating around Pinterest. If not, you should definitely go check it out.

Chalk art has been a tradition around our house for Easter. “The Easter Bunny” would always hop on by, and decorate our driveway with drawings, sayings, and of course… he’d leave behind his bunny footprints. Take a look at this drawing from Eater 2014. (Rory and I had a ton of fun!)

Obviously, the kids LOVE this special surprise each year. I got to thinking that I would like to incorporate chalk art into my seasonal decorating as well by using chalkboards.

Creative thinking can be dangerous and contagious! So, I’ve put together a collection of really cute ideas for Autumn Chalkboards. Have fun with fonts and colors, and incorporate them into your other Fall decorations and vignettes. The chalkboards will be not only a focal point, but a highlight.

  8. Ever since your blog post taught me about the sidewalk chalk and water/paintbrush trick, you have no idea how many times that has come in handy. I really impressed all the neighborhood kids with my artistic abilities, too. LOL I’m really not that good but your trick made my art look way cooler.
Love the Fall Chalkboards, wonderful ideas for me to practice! Stopping by from the #HomeMattersParty link up.
