We love our cats, Jinx and Josie. They are definitely precious and we don’t want them to get hurt in any way. Dogs and cats have special needs. So, it is important to be aware that not everything that is good for you is good for your pet. Take chocolate, for instance, I love a yummy chocolate fix once in a while (ok, maybe a little more often than that), but chocolate can be deadly to dogs and cats.

So, I’m sharing this fabulous infographic created by PuppySpot to help you keep your pet safe at Halloween.

I hope you found this infographic super informative and helpful to keep your pets safe this Halloween. Share it with all your friends!

  1. Great points, I knew not to feed my puppy chocolate but didn’t know about xylitol. All the trick and treaters are really hard on my Pyrenees so we typically sit but the front door together where he can see the kids coming up the driveway. He seems to understand they are children and no threat so it calms him.

    Great points thanks for sharing

  2. Happy Halloween! Those pictures are so cute. I think this is very timely to share as many are not still not aware that chocolates are not good for dogs. I remembered an incident when a small child wanted to share his chocolate treats to a puppy during trick or treating.

  3. So important to keep our pets safe at Halloween. I know that my pug gets into stuff if we leave it in her reach. I have even seen her, normally diva-ish personality, get determined enough to climb on a chair to get a piece of candy off a table before.

  4. I try to keep my pets indoors during Halloween. I do have one that I can’t bring in but he’ll let me know if anyone is bothering him (if he doesn’t tear their leg off).

  5. Such important information for all the pets lovers to keep their pets safety. Many pets lovers are not aware that chocolates are not good for pets health. These post will help them. Actually, this is a really good guide. This information surely make our pets safety during Halloween. Thank you for sharing this.

  6. I think our pets also enjoy Halloween, but we need to ensure the safety of the pets. I agree with you that the chocolate can be deadly to dogs and cats. But personally, I want to allow them a little piece of chocolate cake to celebrate the Halloween. What do you think?
