Bathtub Full Of Bubbles – A Great Way To Relax

Relax and de-stress with a bathtub full of bubbles and a little personal time. Find out my 5 must-haves for a great bubble bath.

Bathtub Full of Bubbles

A Great Way to Relax

Life can be stressful. And stress isn’t healthy for anyone. So, one way I try to slow things down and take charge over stress is with a nice hot bubble bath. I love to relax and take a bit of time just for me.

5 Things I Need for a Luxurious Bubble Bath

Bubble Bath

A wonderfully scented bubble bath is a must. My favorite is lavender (very relaxing), but sometimes I mix it with other scents as well, chamomile, mint, etc. Quite often I will also include Epsom salts, which helps with aches and pains. If you like DIY projects, try this easy to make Homemade Lavender and Rosemary Bath Salts from At Home with Zan.

Snack

If you are going to soak in the tub for awhile, take a snack with you. I enjoy my baths with fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, and of course, a glass of wine, ice water, or maybe even a Sparkling Orange Cranberry Spritzer from An Alli Event or my Dulce de Leche Cocktail.

Candles

The glow of candles always adds a nice ambiance — serene and tranquil.

Movie

While I am laying in a luxurious and relaxing bathtub full of bubbles, I want to be entertained, get lost in some other place. Sometimes that means listening to my audiobook, but more often I will stream a movie or TV show. I am a sucker for cozy mysteries, so some of my favorites are Midsomer Murders, Miss Fisher’s Mysteries, and of course, anything from Agatha Christie. If you haven’t seen these, I highly recommend them.

Soft Cozy Towels

Finishing up my time in the bathtub, I like to dry off and wrap up in a soft cozy towel. There is something warm and comforting about a big soft towel.

I think it’s time for a lovely and relaxing bubble bath right now. How about you?

  1. It’s been such a long time since I’ve enjoyed a nice, relaxing bubble bath. I need to gather everything you mentioned and make a date with my bathtub. Thanks for including my spritzer.

  2. Oh how I love a bubble bath! I have a nice big tub and I line the edges with candles, fill the tub with some good smelling bubbles and stay until the water gets cold! I think I’m due!

  3. A relaxing bubble bath is always welcome in our home. I love reading a book or flipping through a magazine while I’m soaking but I’ve never streamed a movie or taken a snack with me. Sounds like a great idea. And thank you so much for featuring my bath salts. Hope you enjoy!!

  4. That bubble bath sounds so fabulous! Yes, I could use one right now! I could literally SMELL the lavender and Rosemary while reading this! thanks! #HomeMattersParty
