There is no place like Huntington Beach, California, “Surf City USA”. Just look at how beautiful it is at dusk at the pier. I will be doing two Guest Blogging spots over at I Am Meg & So Can You sometime between mid September and mid October. One spot will feature my home town and Orange County in general. the other post be will birthdays in Switzerland and Germany. I am excited about these posts, and hope that you will join in reading the series Around the World with I Am Meg.

Another fun thing happened this week for Huntington Beach. Gordon Ramsay‘s show Master Chef, aired an episode this week that was filmed here back in March of 2013. The show featured a challenge on the beach where the competing chefs had to make fish tacos for 101 surfers. There is some beautiful footage of Huntington Beach. Check it out…

  1. How cool is that? I saw and loved the fish taco episode. Last night I watched an episode of Hell’s Kitchen – becoming addicted to Ramsey – lol. Sounds like you are going to have some kinda fabulous birthday. I’ll be back. Cheers

    1. I watched Hell’s Kitchen last night too! I love Mary, and she really sparkled last night.. 🙂

The birthdays are from the past, but I will be blogging about them for the guest blog spot. Glad you stopped by. I’m looking forward to see more of you.

  2. Loved the fish taco episode! Have become addicted Ramsey – can’t wait to see the follow-up to last night’s Hell’s Kitchen. Looks like you have an amazing b-day coming up. Like Arnold I’ll be back. Cheers.

  3. I can’t believe it has been 8 years since I crossed the Orange curtain and moved to SW Riverside County. I miss it in the summer time when it is 100 degrees plus here. But I don’t miss the needing two incomes to afford a house in a decent place to live (as I am sure you well understand).

  4. So, so beautiful! Though I don’t surf, I love being by the water. I find it so relaxing and its always a beautiful view to look at…during the day or night. Thanks so sharing this beautiful place.

  5. Looks like a beautiful spot. Now wonder there are songs about “Surf City”. I am addicted to cooking shows, and books etc. Didn’t know that filming for GR was done there. Cool!
