Tailgating or Homegating This Fall With Coleman

Tailgating or Homegating This Fall With Coleman

Ready for tailgating? Football season is almost here. Get your tailgating or homegating needs from the Coleman Collection. #TailgatingWithColeman

Tailgating or Homegating

This Fall With Coleman

Are you ready for football? We can’t wait to hit the Friday night lights when our alma mater plays. It’s such a fun time gathering around and tailgating with old friends and cheering on our favorite high school team.

We thought we’d give our new Coleman products a trial run with a preseason kick-off and a little homegating to get us in the mood. Walmart has an entire Coleman collection. You can find things in the store, but there is even more available online. You can have your Coleman products delivered to your home or pick them up in-store and SAVE!

SHOP THE COLEMAN COLLECTION!

Coleman 4-in-1 Mosaic Table

We ordered the Coleman 4-in-1 Mosaic Table and the Coleman Party Ball. It was easy to run through our local Walmart and pick these up. I could even text the store when I arrived, so they could get my packages ready for me. How easy is that? I love anything that saves me time.

We love the Coleman 4-in-1 Mosaic Table. It has a thoughtful and well-planned design. It is compact to carry and store, and all of its pieces snap inside the closed table. There is even a handle. The table consists of two tables that you can configure in a multitude of ways — two side tables, one square table, one long table. The table also features adjustable legs for differing heights and adjustable feet for stability, awesome. You could even make a two-level table for serving. Strong, sturdy, stable.

Watch this video on how easy the table is to set-up, tear-down, and configure.

Coleman Party Ball – Charcoal Grill

The Coleman Party Ball is a small charcoal grill that features foldable legs, lid latches, and a handle for transport. The grill has a removable charcoal tray for easy clean out of ashes. The lantern shaped draft holes are pretty cute. We easily fit four hamburgers on the grill, and we had to toast our buns in two batches. The Party Ball is great for on-the-go.

All in all, we had a fun time with our homegate. We had some great food and even laughed it up with some crazy antics. So, whether tailgating at the game with friends or homegating in the backyard with family, Coleman is there to help you enjoy the outdoors!

Get ready for your Fall tailgate with the Coleman Collection and get your discount when you pick-up in the store.

Happy Tailgating!

Good Day Sunshine

Free Printables and Gift Tags

When my kids were little, we used to do lots of singing in the car. One of our favorite songs was Good Day Sunshine. When summer comes along, I always think of this song with fond memories. I love summer. Gorgeous skies, great weather, ocean breezes, it all makes me happy, and I like to share that feeling with my family and friends.

Have a listen…

So, I thought I would create something special for you to celebrate the warm, happy feeling of summer inspired by that old carefree song. These printables come in two sizes — 4 x 6 inch and 5 x 7 inch — and are perfect for framing as home decor. I also designed some gift tags, which make it easy to share with family and friends. Add the gift tag to a bunch of flowers, a mason jar of goodies, baked goods, gift cards, or more.

Hoot Owl Craft – DIY Centerpiece For Autumn

This shop, Hoot Owl Craft DIY Centerpiece For Autumn, has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #CoffeeCreamerCombos #CollectiveBias

Hoo’s ready for Fall? I am, that is for sure, and I am so excited to share with you one of the ways I celebrate this amazing season — Coffee with friends and fun decor like my Hoot Owl Craft Centerpiece.

Hoot Owl Centerpiece

A Fun and Easy DIY Craft  for Autumn

Fall is such a wonderful time of year. I love the rich colors, the crunch of leaves beneath my feet, pumpkins, the cooler weather, and holidays denoting autumn. Here in Southern California, I don’t get much of the traditional fall, so I have to create my own glorious autumn atmosphere with fun decor and tasty holiday flavors.

I love have friends over for coffee, and it is so fun to offer them a variety of holiday flavored coffees and creamers. One of my new favorites is the Dunkin’ Donuts Caramel Coffee Cake from their Bakery Series with the International Delight Pumpkin Spice creamer. Ooh, yummy! It’s like a pumpkin caramel latte…so good.

Several years ago, I saw a really cute craft in a magazine, making hoot owls using cardboard tubes and cupcake liners. So, I thought I would put together an adorable centerpiece using this idea.

Hoot Owl Centerpiece

Supplies:

For crafting the Owls —

  • Cupcake Liners – (I used regular and mini sized liners.)
  • Cardboard Tubes – (Paper towel and toilet paper tubes work great.)
  • Paper – (cardstock or construction paper – I used yellow and white cardstock.)
  • Glue – (glue stick or regular glue)
  • Hot Glue Gun with Hot Glue Sticks
  • Markers – ( I used black and orange.)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • 1 – Quarter
  • 1 – Nickle

For making the Centerpiece —

  • 1 – Terra Cotta Pot
  • 1 bag – Marble Stones
  • Ribbon
  • Fall Decor Sticks (optional)

Directions:

For the Owls:

  1. Cut the Cardboard Tube to the height you want.
  2. Fold the top of the tube so the flaps meet in the middle. This will create a swoop, forming the top of the head and ears of the owl.

  1. Cut the Cupcake Liners into quarters, and trim off the flat part of the liner (what would be the bottom of the liner).

  1. Make your owl eyes. Using the yellow paper, trace around a quarter with your pencil making six circles. Then, do the same with a nickle on the white paper. Cut the circles out, just to the inside of the pencil line.
  2. Using your black marker, color in the center of the white circles, leaving a slight white mark somewhere in the black, so the owl’s eye will shine. You will have three owls, so create three PAIRS of eyes.
  3. Use the glue stick or tacky glue to adhere the whites of the eyes to the yellow circles. Let dry.

  1. Starting at the bottom of the tub and work your way toward the owl’s head, add one quarter piece of regular size cupcake liner at a time. Hot Glue the underside of the flat edge and stick it to the tube. Overlap the layers. I started on the front sides, and then placed a cupcake liner of the center area. You will also do the back side bottom of the tube.
  2. On the front, I tucked in a row of my mini cupcake liners; and then, topped that with a row of my metallic mini cupcake liners.
  3. Fold two regular size cupcake liners in half, do not cut. These will be the wings for the hoot owl.
  4. Hold the wings on the back, checking to be sure they are where you want them, and mark the cardboard tube with a pencil to denote wing location.
  5. Add quartered cupcake liners to the back to cover where the wings will not.

  1. Hot Glue eyes to the front of the owl. The tops of the eyes should stick up slightly above the cardboard tube, but not above the ears.
  2. Cut small long triangles out of the yellow paper and color them orange with your marker. This is the hoot owl’s beak.
  3. Hot Glue the beak on the lower center of the eyes.
  4. Hot glue the wings on the back side of the owl.

Voila! You’re finished making your owls. Now, it’s onto creating the centerpiece.

For the Centerpiece:

  1. Tie Ribbon around the top edge of a terra cotta pot.
  2. Fill the pot to almost full with marble stones.

  1. Stick twigs and branches into the marbles.
  2. Set hoot owls over the tops of twigs. You can give these a little glue if needed.
  3. Stick in your additional fall decor sticks if you have them.

Isn’t that an adorable autumn centerpiece?

Invite your friends over for coffee and show off your new Hoot Owl Craft centerpiece. Be sure to enhance the seasons atmosphere by serving up your Dunkin’ Donuts Caramel Coffee Cake coffee and International Delight Pumpkin Spice creamer. Rory really loves the Salted Caramel Mocha creamer from International Delight as well. And, the Land O’ Lakes Fat Free Half and Half is amazing–so many uses!

You can find all of these at Ralphs, or your local Kroger Banner store.

How would you mix and match your coffee and creamers? #CoffeeCreamerCombos

Pumpkin Season Is Back!

What an exciting day! Not only do I get to share a funny with you, talk about pumpkins, and give you a heads-up on some great upcoming happenings, but Life With Lorelai is

Featured Today on Missy Homemaker!

The self-purported purveyor of domestic goddess-ery has dubbed Life With Lorelai as an Underdog Wonderblog! I would love it if you would take the time to stop by Missy’s blog, and let her know that I sent you.

I Am Adam!

Or So Says, Luke

from: The Orange County Register – 9/16/2013

My excitement has been growing by pumpkin vines and horns of plenty in anticipation of Autumn. The wonderful season that fills your home with warmth, bountiful harvests, and the sweet smelling aromas of pumpkin pie.

Two nights ago, as we watched TV, Luke was reading the paper. Suddenly, he turned to me and said, “You, are Adam!” I looked at him like he was crazy, “What?” He flicked the paper with his fingers and told me to read the cartoon strip, Adam by Brian Besset. As you can see from the cartoon above, I am Adam. We had a really good laugh.

Luke and I have been seeing advertisements and store shelves filled with the beautiful colors of Fall and home decoration ideas. Starbucks brought back their tremendously tasty treat, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. That is my all time favorite coffee drink. Check out more about that at my recent post, Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup! Last week, Luke bought me an Autumn themed floor mat for my kitchen. It features a scarecrow and of course… Pumpkins!

I love pumpkins! Everything about them speaks to my soul, from the vibrant colors to the widely varied uses. Each year I make a delicious Pasta with Pumpkin and Sausage dish as a kick-off to Fall. This year I will be sharing this recipe with you, so don’t forget to check back!

Triple Scene Pumpkin 2011
This pumpkin had three scenes with a “W” spacer between each. Carved for the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel.

Of course, pumpkins are great in the garden and as decorations in the house, but my favorite thing about pumpkins is carving them. I have many ideas floating around in my head for carving designs for this year. Take a look at some of my previous work on my Pumpkin Carving page.

Over the next few weeks, Life With Lorelai will be offering some Pumpkin Carving Tips & Tricks. We will also be hosting a very special October Contest. Be sure to watch for more details.

Do you believe in Pumpkin Season?

What are some of your favorite things about Autumn?
